almost moved in...

Another week has past and we have accomplished a lot. The cabinets are up and counter tops should be finished this weekend so the tile guy can do the floor and back splash. I have moved almost all our stuff except the big furniture items out of storage. We are all exhausted but we are so so close to being finished. I really love how everything has turned out. here are a few pics of the progress

We are starting to unpack and I came across kamryns little pool and she was so excited so we let her play in the front yard. She played and played in her pool all evening

Its getting closer...

It has been a busy week, I have never painted so much in all my life! The entire house is now painted except for a few touch ups and we want to paint all the doors in the house. We put all new light fixtures and hardware in the bathrooms it is looking more like a house than a construction zone. The kitchen still needs some work we are putting in new cabinets now I hope by the end of the weekend we should have all the cabinets installed then we plan on doing the counter tops and new tile. It is coming along but it is a lot of work. I will be happy when we are all moved in.

My little angel has her first black eye. She was playing in her new room at her picnic table and fell backwards and hit the window seal. It is bruised up pretty good. poor baby girl!

Happy 4th a little late...

I know its a little late but I haven't had much time but working on the house. Kamryn had so much fun on the 4th. Our friends Betty and Joe had their annual 4th of July party we attend and there were some friends kamryns age came to play and they had so much fun. They played and played all day..



kamryn loved the piano she wanted to play it all day or have someone play for her. Betty's mom Elinor played the piano for kamryn and she loved it. Bettys daughter Carly played for Kamryn too. She kept asking to "keep on playin" we might have a piano player on our hands

The fireworks were rained out so we went on the back porch and popped snappers. They stomped and jumped on them to make them pop they had so much fun

House Progress

I haven't had much time to post anything on the blog lately because I have been spending all day almost everyday working on the house. It is starting to really look good. We have been doing lots of painting peeling off wallpaper and working on the kitchen. We have Kamryns bathroom almost finished and the Kamryn's room and the office are almost done painting just a few touch ups and all the trim needs painting. Yesterday I spent the day scrapping the texture off the ceiling in the kitchen to get it prepared for the texture guy to come a texture the walls. Shawn is off today so he is sanding off the bottom texture on the walls in the living and dining room. For some reason the previous owners had two kinds of texture on the walls. The bottom half on the walls is a completely different texture than the top. So we have to sand it down for it to be textured. We bought our cabinets and thanks to both of our parents we have all new appliances as well! Thanks Nannie & Grandpa & Naw & Pappee.. We are so excited as our house is being transformed before our eyes. We are so blessed with such great family and friends for all the help the have given to us! And what is a post without a few pics.. here ya go
