We are back!

Our week away we spent more time working than playing. It was a working vacation. Our lake house the house my grandmother lived in before she passed away was in need of a new roof and when one of our best friends who does construction work came to do the job.. We were there to help and assist which was a lot of assisting. Roofing is hard work!

Josh starting on the roof. It had two layers of shingles and the bottom layer was stuck on there so good it took hours and hours to get all the shingles off the roof.

We did get to play a little on the vacation.

We are back home but tired it wasn't much rest and relaxation of a vacation. We will be taking another trip in a few months just to have some fun in the water.

This afternoon we will close on the new house and we are so excited to be homeowners again. We have been to Lowe's and Home Depot multiple of times and spent hours deciding all the things we want to do to it. We are planning on remodeling the kitchen right away. So we have picked out cabinets, counter tops, knobs, sinks, faucets and all kinds of little touches to add to the kitchen. We will take our annual trip to marble falls to the lake on Saturday so we are getting all our stuff together for some fun in the water. Also, getting the boat ready and will be there for a week. We love to wake board and tube it is a blast. Kamryn loves the tube her first time on the tube was when she was 9 months old and she has been a water baby ever since then. Unfortunately, Shawn cannot go with him just starting his new job he doesn't get vacation until September so we will be planning another trip in September so Shawn will be able to play in the water too. We love going to Marble falls it is our home away from home. I feel bad we are all leaving him home to work but he is super excited with starting to work on the house while we are all gone. He will get a head start on the house and when we get back home it will be working on the house so we can get moved in...

Yesterday I had curlers in Kamryns hair for our family pics that evening but Brayden came over to swim and I wanted to have her hair curly for pics so I wrapped her hair in a plastic bag so it wouldn't get wet. It worked her hair did not get wet and looked really cute and curly for pictures. But she looked so cute with a bag on her head I had to snap a couple of pics of her. She looked like my grandmother Wright she would wrap her hair up in toilet paper or plastic bag to keep her hair done before she went to bed at night. We all do miss grandmother wright!

Tonight I wanted to take some new family pictures to hang in our new house. I thought it would be fun to take some in the yellow wildflowers they are everywhere this year. Our best friends Josh and Nicole came along with the boys for some new pictures too.

She is offically 3 today

3 years ago today I had my precious little girl after 25 long hours in labor and 3 hours of pushing she was rushed to cooks medical center. With problems with her rectum. We spent a long week at cooks medical center and were back at home. Then another long week for surgery when she was 6 months old. It doesn't even fase her. She is such a strong girl that can overcome anything. I cannot believe how time flies by so quickly it just seems like yesterday when I was giving birth to this precious little girl. Now she is a bubbly, talkative and has the cutest little face that will light up a room. The things she says and does makes me laugh and smile everyday! She is our little princess forever

Get ready for a long blog posting!

Yesterday Kamryn had her big birthday party and we spent all day getting everything set up and cleaned and ready to go. She was so excited and talked about it all day. After her nap we went to go pick up her cake from united and she was wearing her tutu and twirling it all around and telling everyone that walked by her that it was her birthday and she was going to be 3 years old! Kamryn started talking to this older woman and telling her about her party and the woman took out of her purse a $2 dollar bill to give Kamryn. It was so nice of her to do that. I was afraid it could be a long day because Kamryn would only take a hour nap, she was just too excited to take a nap. But she had so much fun. It was pretty neat to be having my daughters birthday party at the house I grew up and had many pool birthday parties growing up.

She had a fun party and I took a ton of pictures but there are too many to post on here. I truly cannot believe it has been 3 years since my little girl was born. Time flies by way too fast. Our little girl needs to stop growing up so fast.
